<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Sherlock Holmes meets the Greatest
Showman as The Ministry of Lost &amp; Found bring a day of interactive theatre
to Manchester Central Library.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Youngsters are encouraged to
become super sleuths for day, joining Frankie Found on a mission to locate Leo
Lost. The search takes them on an exploration of the iconic library building
where they meet a host of cheekily named characters such as, Fenella von Hoop, Professor
Arty Farty Pants and&nbsp;Kabantu Junk Band.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter"><img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" width="736" height="1024" src="https://quayslife.com/storage/2019/09/The-Ministry-of-Lost-Found-2-736x1024.jpg" alt="The Ministry of Lost &amp; Found" class="wp-image-5529" srcset="https://quayslife.com/storage/2019/09/The-Ministry-of-Lost-Found-2-736x1024.jpg 736w, https://quayslife.com/storage/2019/09/The-Ministry-of-Lost-Found-2-216x300.jpg 216w, https://quayslife.com/storage/2019/09/The-Ministry-of-Lost-Found-2-768x1069.jpg 768w, https://quayslife.com/storage/2019/09/The-Ministry-of-Lost-Found-2-716x997.jpg 716w, https://quayslife.com/storage/2019/09/The-Ministry-of-Lost-Found-2-820x1142.jpg 820w, https://quayslife.com/storage/2019/09/The-Ministry-of-Lost-Found-2.jpg 862w" sizes="(max-width: 736px) 100vw, 736px" /><figcaption>The Ministry of Lost &amp; Found</figcaption></figure></div>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Here their circus skills are put to
the test with an opportunity to take part in a hula hooping performance; try
stilt-walking; create new sounds with the junk orchestra; and we don’t like to
ask what the Professor’s workshop involves.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The search for Leo brings more diversions,
as the youngsters craft origami in the Reading Room and meet cellar dweller,
Boggo. For those who’ve been to a Ministry of Lost &amp; Found event before,
the cellar is a new immersive experience where families are&nbsp;be given the challenge of
infiltrating the cellar without waking Boggo.&nbsp; The&nbsp;task is to find the
golden keys to unlock the door, which could lead them to Leo.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><br>Families are encouraged to join a treasure hunt looking for Leo’s lost items, dress up and play at the Lost &amp; Found office, and lose their inhibitions with the Ministry Minions – a team of young people volunteering at the event. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Jude Jagger, Creative Producer says:“Free to attend, the event gives families the opportunity to have a wonderfully crazy and curious day in Central Library. My tip for the day is to try and speak to all of the Ministry staff, you never know what joy you might unearth in your investigations!”<br> <br> Being a library, story time sessions are also on the agenda, along with the opportunity to explore the Children’s Library and get lost in the joy of reading.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>THE MINISTRY OF LOST &amp; FOUND is a free event at Manchester Central Library on Saturday 14 September 2019 from 11am-4pm as part of <a href="http://bit.ly/2MutENV" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener" aria-label=" (opens in a new tab)">Library Live</a>. </strong></p>
