Adults become little and children become great in the interactive imaginary world of Curiouser, a new children’s dance show for three to six-year-olds at The Lowry.
The adventure is a brand-new show from award-winning dance and digital artists Flexer and Sandiland and Norwegian company Dybwikdans.

Both companies are renowned for their intimate immersive works for young audiences. Here children and adults alike are invited to embark on a delightful escapade of curiosity and wonder in the intimate setting of the Lowry’s Compass room.

Guided by two friendly dance-performers, the audience delve into magical caves, explore leafy forests, soar through starry night skies, and meet playful characters; loosely inspired by the children’s classic Alice in Wonderland.

In a world of ever changing proportions the audience’s curiosity is raised about what it might mean to view the world from a different perspective.
The show, which has its UK premiere at The Lowry before performances in London and Kent, incorporates animated hand-drawn projection, dance, sound, text and interactive digital objects.
It is the perfect first dance show for little ones, giving children an opportunity to get up and get involved or sit back and watch as the action surrounds the audience to create an intimate yet spectacular experience.
Curiouser is at The Lowry on Sunday 3 March 13:00 and 15:00 then touring to Ideas Test at MidKent College, Kent and The Place Theatre, London.
